TomNine - What's "lift"? I could deadlift 160 with one hand. Overhead lift, or even hold, is hard to believe.
TomNine - I think Katie Sandwina was a very strong entertainer, with lots of tricks available to her.
ED - The lady on that old movie (adams rib)lifted that famious actor with one arm and stedied him with the other.
ED - what tricks could be done?
TomNine - That lady was in lots of movies, usually as a stern prison matron. Adams Rib scene obviously a little special effects magic.
ED - why do they say the ladies could lift heavy if they could not?
TomNine - Trick? I've seen Doughdie "lift" guys, and they take a running leap and use their arms on her shoulders to take some of the weight. Very impressive, but at least a little tricky.

HardbodyPaul - I've read a few articles that say not to stay on it for too long. Your liver has to process all that Creatine. And it can be damaging if you stay on it for years at a time. I have been taking it for stints of a few months, then come off it for a few months, then hit it again, and so on.
JoanneK - Just wanted to say that the 65 lb. arm curls are only a fantasy thing I do for JF and I only do 1-2 reps.
HardbodyPaul - Hmmm, why would wb not like you?
JoanneK - I have been on creatine for about 2 months now and only take 3 1/2 grams a day.
HardbodyPaul - 65 lb. arm curls? I've never heard you say that you do that. This is 65 lbs. on the barbell, right? I can't even do 65 lb. dumbells.
JoanneK - No, it's 65 lb. dumbells and it's only for 1 or 2 reps. It's not a full extension, just half way curls.
HardbodyPaul - I'm doing about 6 grams of Creatine per day, currently. Directly after my workouts. The energy increase is immediately noticeable after being off of it for awhile. And Joan noticed a leaning out look directly after I come off of it.
JoanneK - So, should I go off the creatine in another couple of months?
HardbodyPaul - I don't know how you can even pick up 65 lb. dumbells. Are you sure that your using dumbells?
JoanneK - For some reason, I can only do the 65 lbs. once in a great while. WB thought I was doing them during my workouts.
HardbodyPaul - Go off the Creatine when you notice your gains slowing down. It means that you are "peaking" out. Then, after a few months being off of it, go back on it.
JoanneK - I want to see a picture of Sandy Bouwman. Where can I see it?
HardbodyPaul - I haven't seen any girl who can do curls with a 65 lb. dumbell in each hand. It's a little unbelievable, Jo. Most girl cannot even press 65 lb. dumbells.

JoanneK - When flexed, they do measure that now. My gym was measuring the arm unflexed. JF measured it flexed and that's what it was. It's been awhile.
HardbodyPaul - You should measure again, Jo. You may have added some size since that last measurement. I'm sure that JF would be happy to do it for ya.
JoanneK - Some of the stats I have seen on these girls where it says 14" biceps - I think , "Gee, mine look bigger than hers."
JoanneK - Question - do you think once the bodyfat is lowered my arms will look bigger?
HardbodyPaul - It's hard to tell how big these girls' arms are from pics. I plan to measure Sandy's personally.
JoanneK - JF and I cannot find the tape measure we had. He has one, but it's not cloth.
HardbodyPaul - Of course they will look bigger with less bodyfat. Bodybuilding has some illusion to it. When you're at a lower bodyfat, and tanned, you appear bigger, because the edges of your muscles shows more.
JoanneK - I'll have to make sure JF takes a closeup of my biceps when he does my gallery.
HardbodyPaul - I look much better tanned in the summer, than I do right now, more white.
JoanneK - Well, then, I should look huge because I'm dark complected anyway. Very, very dark in the summer with a tan.
HardbodyPaul - So, you really ARE going to do a gallery. I know we are all anxious to see it.
JoanneK - Does the kind of leg press machine a person uses dictate how much weight they can press?
HardbodyPaul - But, you've got to have some definition too. Especially around the delts, and in the quads.
JoanneK - Yes, we need a scanner and a good camera to do it. I want to wait about 6 months before he even takes my pictures.
JoanneK - I have a lot of definition already around the delts. The quads need more and I'm working on it.
HardbodyPaul - Yes, every machine differs. Even the different kind of sleds. Did the new gym that you checked out have a sled?
HardbodyPaul - Keep doing your squats, Jo. In my honest opinion, squats are a better overall exercise than leg presses. Although, the two do compliment one another.
JoanneK - The current one I use is where you lay down and push. JF said that sounds weird.

JoanneK - The reason I am asking is because the stats I see on these women, they are leg pressing 1,000lbs.

HardbodyPaul - If you flex your bicep, measure it only from mid upper arm, up to the peak of the muscle. That's a true bicep measurement.
JoanneK - That's just what JF did.
HardbodyPaul - Well, it's kinda difficult to picture here, I guess. That's ok, let's just say that you have very nice biceps! K?

HardbodyPaul - Ok, you stand about arms length away, facing the wall. JF puts both legs over your shoulders, but doesnt' sit his weight down on you, just stands there over you, straddling your neck, while hanging on to the wall he's facing.
HardbodyPaul - Use your hands on your knees, Jo. That's the key, and keep your back straight, even if you are slightly bent forward at the waist. Then, push straigth up, using both your hands on your knees, and your legs and back, to a standing position.
JoanneK - Does that mean we need a high enough ledge for JF to hold onto when I get to the standing position?
HardbodyPaul - From there, you can do squats, just like in the gym, using your hands on your knees. Do the first few, squatting only partially down, and get deeper as you get more and more comfortable. Perhaps you will be eventually able to go all the way down so his feet tough the floor.
HardbodyPaul - Yes, he needs to be sitting up straight while your stood up, and use the ledge or wall to balance you and himself.
